Stage Three Dementia

  • Unable to complete activities of daily living
  • Becomes totally dependent
  • Very limited, if any, communication
  • Does not recognize self or others
  • Loses bodily functions — incontinent, minimal mobility
  • More prone to infections
  • Facial expression no longer changes — flat affect
  • Seizures
