Incidental Medical and Dental Care: PRN log is in use; Incidental Medical and Dental Care: discontinued meds were replaced with appropriate medications; Incidental Medical and Dental Care: transferred medications could not be put back as they arrive in a bubble pack, loose pills were destroyed.
POC was for additional staff to arrive to assist. Licensee stated she did not have any on call or additional staff. The one employee she was going to send did not have the appropriate criminal record clearance. POC due date for this was 03/11/17. During today’s visit it was noted there is only 1 staff member on duty.
Employees Assisting Residents with Self-Administration of Medications, Training Requirements. POC was to complete training for caregiver and to submit proof of training. Licensee stated additional training was conducted but could not provide proof of training or hours.
Civil penalties will continue to accrue at rate of $50 a day until submission of proof of medication training. Civil Penalties assessed today total $650. There were a total of three completed LIC 421s due to the varying dates.
