Initial Certification Training Program ARF is a 35-hour course that prepares you to become an administrator of a residential care facility for clients ages 18-59.
The first step in opening a facility is to become a certified administrator. California law requires that every facility that provides care and supervision to disabled adults must be operated by a certified administrator. To become a certified administrator, you must complete the Initial Certification Training Program ARF from an approved vendor. On completion of the Certification Training Program, the next step is to take a 50 question test at the Community Care Licensing office. On passing the test DPSS/Community Care Licensing will issue you your Administrator Certificate.
Certificate: Certificate issued on the last day of class.
